Who we areCAPAM's greatest strength is its people: members; directors and advisors; partners, affiliates and associates; and staff. Combined, we are greater than the sum of our parts, and are a powerful force for advancing good governance and public sector cooperation throughout the Commonwealth.People join CAPAM as individual members, or as one of five individuals associated with an institutional membership. There are more than 1,100 people in the CAPAM family. CAPAM Directors are elected at each biennial General Members' Meeting. For the 2006-2008 term, the CAPAM Board is comprised of public sector leaders from twelve Commonwealth countries, plus one director representing the Commonwealth Secretariat. Advisors also provide leadership to CAPAM between members' meetings. CAPAM works in partnership with other international and regional organisations, including the Commonwealth Secretariat, the Commonwealth of Learning, the Commonwealth Business Council, the Commonwealth Local Government Forum and the Commonwealth Foundation. CAPAM has signed affiliation agreements with more than twenty organisations to share services, build mutual capacity and deliver programmes. CAPAM also works with international consultants on programme development and delivery.
