A Commonwealth OrganisationFrom its formation as a result of then-Secretary-General of the Commonwealth H.E. Chief Emeka Anyaoku's initiative (see CAPAM origins), CAPAM has always enjoyed a close working relationship with the Commonwealth Secretariat in London. CAPAM also works cooperatively with other Commonwealth agencies and associations. Through these mutually beneficial arrangements, CAPAM mobilises the wealth of resources in the Commonwealth to realize its goals of good governance and public sector excellence.CAPAM works in cooperation with the Commonwealth Secretariat's Governance and Institutional Development Division (GIDD) on many national, regional and international projects and programmes that advance our mutual goal of strengthening good governance. CAPAM received accreditation to the Commonwealth as an Associated Organisation in 2004.
