2006 Rules & Eligibility

The 2006 competition is now closed, please consider a submission for the 2008 competition.

Only CAPAM members are eligible for the International Innovations Awards Programme.  Current memberships must be in good standing.  New members may make submissions with their application for CAPAM membership.  (If you are not yet a member of CAPAM, we encourage you to join now.  Membership is open to all interested individuals and/or organisations. 

Submissions must reflect an organisational rather than an individual initiative.

Members may re-submit previous entries.  However, previous submissions that received Gold, Silver or Bronze Awards are not eligible for re-submission.

Submissions must be received at the CAPAM office in Toronto by 5:00 p.m. E.S.T. on March 31, 2006.

Each submission must include:

  • a completed Awards application form with all pertinent information listed;
  • a 50-word executive summary;
  • a 1,500-word project description;
  • a $50 US entry fee.

Entries submitted electronically (MS Word or .pdf) are appreciated and preferred.

CAPAM reserves the right to reproduce, without limitation, submitted materials including the Project Description and any attachments, for distribution through the Practice Knowledge Centre, the Commonwealth Innovations newsletter, and other distribution methods, both print and electronic.

Finalists are required to be interviewed by the Awards Programme jury.  Interviews will be scheduled in Sydney, Australia on October 19 and 20, 2006.  Finalists are required to make a presentation at the CAPAM Biennial Conference in Sydney, Australia, October 21 to 25, 2006.

Awards winners will be announced at the CAPAM Biennial Conference in Sydney, Australia, on October 25, 2006.
