Improving Service Delivery

Service delivery is a major challenge for Commonwealth public services. A major focus of reform in many countries redesigning structures, systems, and processes to improve the delivery of services. These efforts have included reforming Ministries and departments, decentralization, privatization, contracting out and the use of a range of public-private partnerships.

In May 2004 CAPAM and the University of Birmingham hosted a workshop that focused on the challenges of service delivery. The report reflects on the conversations in that workshop.
