CAPAM 2014 Biennial Conference
Public Service Transformation – A New Conversation
Putrajaya, Malaysia, October 19 – 21, 2014
The CAPAM 2014 Biennial Conference was held in Putrajaya, Malaysia from October 19 to 21, 2014. This event, held in collaboration with the Malaysian Administrative Modernisation and Management Planning Unit (MAMPU), took place at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre, and was held in conjunction with the Commonwealth Secretariat’s Forum of Public Service Ministers. The central theme of the conference was Public Service Transformation: A New Conversation.
CAPAM’s Biennial Conference is a prestigious gathering of nearly 1000 senior civil servants, ministers, academics, public service practitioners and partner organizations from the Commonwealth nations. MAMPU organized a fascinating programme of learning journeys for delegates, with the entire event culminating in CAPAM’s 20th anniversary celebration and the presentation of both the International Innovations Awards and the Gordon Draper Award for excellence in the public service. The conference agenda was designed to stimulate dialogue, theoretical and practical knowledge exchange and networking to an international audience that is building the public service for the future across the Commonwealth.
