Guyana President is Keynote Speaker at CAPAM 2018 Biennial Conference

CAPAM is thrilled to announce that Brigadier David Granger, President of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana will be the keynote speaker for the CAPAM 2018 Biennial Conference on 22-24 October in Georgetown, Guyana. Becoming a ‘green state’ forms a major part of President Granger’s vision for the country’s advancement by ensuring environmental sustainability is aligned with economic development. He has declared, “Guyana is pursuing a green agenda. That agenda is a pathway not only to economic prosperity but also to social wellbeing. It is more than the contribution of our forest to carbon storage; it is more than the avoidance of deforestation; it is more than the introduction of renewable energy sources… It is about protecting our health; the health of our people and our children; it is about protecting our patrimony.”
