Guyana President is Keynote Speaker at CAPAM 2018 Biennial Conference

CAPAM is thrilled to announce that Brigadier David Granger, President of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana will be the keynote speaker for the CAPAM 2018 Biennial Conference on 22-24 October in Georgetown, Guyana. Becoming a ‘green state’ forms a major part of President Granger’s vision for the country’s advancement by ensuring environmental sustainability is aligned with economic development. He has declared, “Guyana is pursuing a green agenda. That agenda is a pathway not only to economic prosperity but also to social wellbeing. It is more than the contribution of our forest to carbon storage; it is more than the avoidance of deforestation; it is more than the introduction of renewable energy sources… It is about protecting our health; the health of our people and our children; it is about protecting our patrimony.”
